High-voltage static electricity refers to the electric charge difference generated between two contacting or non-contacting objects, which can be used for various special purposes. Firstly, high-voltage electrostatic technology plays an important role in food preservation in refrigerators. This technology can kill bacteria and mold in the air by creating a high-voltage electrostatic field, thereby extending the shelf life of food. In this process, electrons are brought onto the surface of the food, causing the membranes of bacteria and mold to rupture and leading to their death. In addition, high-voltage electrostatic can also absorb moisture in the air, further slowing down the decay rate of food.
